BAC is currently accepting submissions from:

• Writers with complete stories: Do you have an article or idea appropriate for the BAC blog?  We are currently accepting completed stories from individuals interested in reaching our audience.
  • We prefer interviews, how-tos, inspirational articles, art reviews, photo stories, comics, illustrations, and fiction with a focus in art, process, community, live/work lifestyle and vision development.  However, we are always trying to shake things up, so we are open to your creative twist on a surprising subject for our audience.
• Artists, illustrators, and graphic folks!
  • Do you need a little inspiration to develop your portfolio?  Do you want to illustrate a story submitted to our blog?  Send us a link to your online portfolio or a few work examples, and we will put you on our list.  If you create art for one of our stories, we will promote it!

**We do not pay for submissions to our blog, but, we do promote all of our posts and your work credit will be highly visible.**

If we choose to publish your story, not only will you be able to gain recognition via our blog, but you will have a special “About the author” section on your story. This section will be a short 20-30 word bio, as well as a photo of you, and a link to your website or blog. Talk about great exposure!

Submission Process:

Use our Contributor Form (this is preferred),

OR

If your story won’t fit here (too many words, more than a specific # of photos, etc.), send Kadence ‘at’ bemisbuilding ‘dot’ com an e-mail with “Contributor Submission: YOUR NAME HERE” in the story line. The e-mail should contain:

1. Your completed story. Full story text documents should be named: Year_Month_Title_Author’sName.doc.

2. Photos & Images, should be no larger than 1000 px (on the long edge) at 72 dpi. Make sure to rename the images, following this nomenclature: Year_Month_Title_Author’Initials#.jpg.

3. A short bio, which will be used for the credit sections at the bottom of your post in the actual blog. Try to keep it to 20-30 words, please.

4. A photo of you, no larger than 600 px (on the long edge) at 72 dpi.

5. Link to your blog or website, and/or other contact info on Social Media sites, so you get even more exposure.
